WHY DRIVEHAUS IN IRENE

Estate weddings and family days

Irene is 16 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included. Irene's country venues and Silver Lakes' estate lawns are exactly the level, open ground the bay wants, and a wedding on a farm venue is often nowhere near a plug, which suits a trailer that brings its own power. Silver Lakes is a managed estate, so vehicle access and working hours are agreed with the estate office once your date is confirmed.

01 Estate weekend bookings A weekend booking is quoted as one, and the trailer stays on site from Friday to Sunday, available whenever your guests want to play.

02 Quiet at a wedding James runs it in plain black and the bay goes quiet for the ceremony, the speeches and the first dance. The loudest thing we make is the ball.

03 Every generation plays Difficulty adjusts from first timers to single figure golfers, so grandparents, parents and the golfers at the table all end up on the same board.

04 Club days at Silver Lakes A simulator hole beside the clubhouse or at the halfway house gives a club day a longest drive board the whole field follows.

The DriveHaus golf simulator trailer open and lit green at dusk on a lawn, the setup that comes to an Irene wedding. — Lit at dusk.

A COUNTRY WEDDING IN IRENE

A country wedding, start to finish.

Irene’s country venues and the estate lawns at Silver Lakes have the open, level ground the bay is built for. This is how a wedding day runs with a golf bay on the lawn.

Before the day the venue approves the spot, and James checks the route in from a photo: 3m wide, 2.8m of clearance, 8m × 6m of level ground and 3.5m clear overhead.
Before the first guest the trailer arrives and opens in about 30 minutes. It brings its own power, so a lawn nowhere near a plug is fine.
Between the ceremony and the reception, guests play while the photos are taken.
For the speeches and the first dance, the bay goes quiet.
Late in the evening it is an alternative to the dance floor, until 22:00, the close of the operating window.

A Friday to Sunday stay is quoted as one booking from two consecutive days, with the trailer secured each night. See wedding entertainment.

Questions from Irene.

Can the trailer stay at Silver Lakes for a full weekend?

Yes. Any stay from two consecutive days on site is quoted as one multi day booking, so a Friday to Sunday weekend is one quote. The trailer is secured each night and James returns each morning to run it.

When does it run at a wedding?

Best in the gap between the ceremony and the reception, or later in the evening as an alternative to the dance floor. Not during the vows. See wedding entertainment.

Does Silver Lakes allow it?

Estate rules set vehicle access and working hours. Once your date is confirmed James sends the trailer and vehicle details to the estate office, and works to its hours.

Is travel to Irene included?

Yes. Irene is 16 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included.

Do you need power at the venue?

No venue power needed. The trailer carries four solar panels, a 5 kVA inverter and a battery bank: if there is a plug within 20 m we use it, and if not the bay runs on its own, so load shedding changes nothing.
