WHY DRIVEHAUS IN SANDTON

Built for how Sandton hosts

Sandton is 50 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included. It sits exactly on the edge of that radius, and the N1 is the only slow part of the trip, so James plans the tow backwards from your first guest and the bay is open before anyone walks out of the building. The distance is rarely the catch in Sandton; the basement is. The trailer tows in at 2.8m and opens to 3.5m, so most Sandton functions run in open air visitor parking, a forecourt or a garden rather than underground.

01 Built for Sandton office parks Morningside, Sandown, Woodmead and Sandton Central: James confirms the access route and the setup spot with building management before your date, not on it. 8m × 6m of level ground is all it needs.

02 Your AV team gets one link The live leaderboard is a web page, so your AV team can put it on the main screens with one link, while guests follow the same board on their phones.

03 Your brand stays centre stage James runs the bay in plain DriveHaus black. The screen between shots and the live board can carry your name, so guests remember your function, not a supplier.

04 One invoice, matched to your PO Procurement gets a single itemised invoice against your PO. No second billing afterwards and no admin for your finance department.

05 Client days, not only year ends A bay in the forecourt gives a client lunch or a product briefing something to do between the talking, with longest drive and closest to the pin on a live board.

The DriveHaus golf simulator trailer open and lit green at night on the PGA Show lawn, the same bay that comes to a Sandton function. — The same bay, open at night.

IS MY SANDTON VENUE INSIDE 50 KM?

Exactly on the edge of the radius.

Sandton City measures 50 km by road from our Pretoria East base, exactly the edge of the included 50 km. So in Sandton the address decides it: a venue a little nearer Pretoria is inside, and one a little further on may be by arrangement. The suburbs next door show how quickly it moves: Bryanston measures 54 km, Rosebank 58 km and Hyde Park 58 km.

You do not have to work it out. Enter the venue on the quote form and it measures the road distance in seconds: inside the radius it quotes straight away, outside it hands you to James on WhatsApp, and either way the tow is in the one number you are quoted.

SANDTON, NODE BY NODE

Where a Sandton function usually runs.

01 Sandown and the convention centre Sandton Convention Centre on Maude Street and Nelson Mandela Square are managed venues: the venue signs off the spot and the delivery window, and the trailer brings its own power, so no power allocation is needed.

02 Morningside, Rivonia and Woodmead Office park functions run in visitor parking, a forecourt or a garden, confirmed with building management before your date. A basement is out: the trailer tows in at 2.8m and opens to 3.5m.

03 Guests on the Gautrain Sandton has a Gautrain station, so a client day can bring guests in from Pretoria, Centurion or Rosebank without a car, which suits a function that ends with drinks.

04 Proof down the road PGA Golf & Lifestyle Show at The Campus, Bryanston: 106 players over three days and a 345.8 m longest drive. See how the three days ran.

Questions from Sandton.

Can you set up at our Sandton office?

Usually outside rather than in. The trailer needs 8m × 6m of firm, level ground, a route in at least 3m wide with 2.8m of clearance, and 3.5m clear overhead where the roof goes up. Visitor parking, a forecourt or a garden works; most basements are too low. Send the spot or a photo and James confirms it before you book.

How do you handle Sandton traffic?

James plans the tow backwards from your first guest, allowing for the N1 at peak. Setup takes about 30 minutes, so the bay is open and tested before your guests arrive.

Is travel to Sandton included?

Yes. Sandton is 50 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included.

Can it run at a Sandton expo or brand activation?

Yes, outdoors or in a hall with the access and headroom above. Every visitor checks in on their phone to get on the board, so an activation ends with a consented list of who played. See brand activations and expos.

Can the board go on our screens?

Yes. The live leaderboard is a web page, so your AV team can show it on the main screens with one link while guests follow it on their phones.

Is an outdoor golf simulator practical in Sandton?

Yes. The bay is built into the trailer with its own roof, so it runs in open air visitor parking, a forecourt or a garden, and light rain does not stop play. It needs 8m × 6m of level ground and brings its own power, so it asks nothing of the building's supply.

Do you need power at the venue?

No venue power needed. The trailer carries four solar panels, a 5 kVA inverter and a battery bank: if there is a plug within 20 m we use it, and if not the bay runs on its own, so load shedding changes nothing.
