WHY DRIVEHAUS IN WATERKLOOF

Close to base, easy to book

Waterkloof is 12 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included. The Waterkloof pattern is school fields and club functions: galas, sports club socials and fundraisers on a field with no plug in sight, which suits a bay that brings its own power. The residences in Waterkloof, Waterkloof Ridge and Monument Park come with gate protocols and guest lists, and both are planned before the day.

01 Travel included You are well inside our 50 km service area, so the tow is already in your quote. The total you are quoted is the total you pay.
02 Short notice dates Base is a short drive away, so there is no long tow to plan around. If the diary is open, a short notice date is worth asking about.
03 School fields and club lawns Any firm, level patch the trailer can drive onto: 8m × 6m of ground and a gate 3m wide. Own power, so the far end of the field works as well as the car park.
04 Embassy belt protocols Waterkloof residences come with gate protocols and guest lists, and both get planned before the day. James signs an NDA on request.
05 Evening events Setup can start as late as 18:00, so an evening only booking works.
The branded DriveHaus trailer parked closed on a grass field at night, the way it arrives at a Waterkloof school field.
Arrives closed, opens in about 30 minutes.

A FUNDRAISER ON A SCHOOL FIELD

One evening on the school field.

In Waterkloof, Waterkloof Ridge, Erasmuskloof, Monument Park and Groenkloof the venue is often a school field or a club lawn with no plug in sight, which suits a bay that brings its own power. This is how a school evening runs.

  1. Before the date, James confirms the spot on the field with the school. It needs 8m × 6m of firm, level ground, a gate at least 3m wide and 2.8m of clearance on the way in.
  2. The trailer arrives and opens in about 30 minutes. It brings its own power, so the far end of the field works as well as the car park.
  3. Players check in on their phones and go up on the live board. The committee collects per attempt however suits it; we keep score and never handle donations.
  4. All evening James runs the queue, the scoring and the announcements, so no parent is roped in for two hours.
  5. At prize giving James calls the winners. Under 18s play with a parent or guardian’s yes and never appear on a public board.

The full format, sponsor options included, is on school and charity fundraisers.

Questions from Waterkloof.

How much notice do you need?

For Waterkloof, 48 hours is workable if the diary is open. Two weeks is comfortable for a standard booking. October to December is peak season, so bring a date in those months to us early.

Do you do long weekend bookings?

Yes. From two consecutive days the trailer can stay on site and the booking is quoted as one, which suits long private parties, family gatherings and wedding weekends.

Is it an outdoor golf simulator, or does it need a hall?

Outdoor by design. The bay has its own roof and its own power, so it runs on a field, a lawn or a car park, and light rain does not stop play. A hall works only where the trailer can drive in and open.

Can it run a school fundraiser on the field?

Yes. A longest drive board with a small donation per attempt runs all evening, James runs the queue and the scoring, and the committee handles the money however suits it. See school and charity fundraisers.

Is travel to Waterkloof included?

Yes. Waterkloof is 12 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included.

Do you need power at the venue?

No venue power needed. The trailer carries four solar panels, a 5 kVA inverter and a battery bank: if there is a plug within 20 m we use it, and if not the bay runs on its own, so load shedding changes nothing.
