WHY DRIVEHAUS IN MENLYN

Pretoria's corporate core

Menlyn and Brooklyn are 8 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included. Menlyn Maine is a managed precinct, and the Brooklyn and Hazelwood office parks have their own booms and bay rules, so the delivery window and the setup spot are agreed with building management before your date. The short tow is what makes early starts and late finishes easy here.

01 Built for the corporate parks Menlyn Maine, Menlyn Park, Brooklyn and Hazelwood: the access route, the loading bay and the parking are confirmed with the building before your date.

02 Scales with the guest list One to four players a round, five to ten minutes each, so a four hour function turns over roughly 30 to 50 players, with the live board keeping everyone else watching.

03 A quote built for approval Your quote is written today, usually within two hours, and itemised, so it goes straight into internal approval. The invoice follows once the deposit is confirmed.

04 Closest suburb to base Nowhere we serve is nearer. At 8 km an early setup or a late finish is a short drive, not a logistics problem, and a last minute date is worth asking about.

05 Indoors or out An event hall or a parking deck works where the building confirms floor loading, the route in clears 3m × 2.8m, and there is 3.5m above the trailer where it opens. An open courtyard needs only 8m × 6m of level ground.

MENLYN MAINE, TIME SQUARE AND BROOKLYN

Booms, basements and open air.

Menlyn Maine is a managed precinct in Waterkloof Glen, with Time Square and SunBet Arena inside it, and Menlyn Park, Brooklyn and Lynnwood around it. Precincts like these are built around booms and basements, so the planning starts with heights: the trailer needs 2.8m of clearance under a boom on the way in and 3.5m clear overhead once it opens, so a basement is out and the setup is usually open air, in a parking area, a forecourt or on a lawn.

Corporate year ends are the Menlyn pattern: a team from the offices around the precinct plays over a long lunch or an evening function. At 8 km from base, the shortest tow DriveHaus does, an early start or a late finish costs nothing extra, and a last minute date is worth a WhatsApp.

Questions from Menlyn.

Can you do events inside Time Square or Menlyn Maine?

An indoor hall is possible where the venue confirms access, headroom and floor loading in advance. James checks it with the venue before you book.

How early can you be on site for a morning function?

From 08:00, and earlier by arrangement. At 8 km from base an early arrival costs you nothing extra: the trailer tows in, opens in about 30 minutes and is ready before your first guest.

Does it need covered parking or a basement?

No, and a basement will not work: the roof needs 3.5m clear overhead once it opens. It is an outdoor golf simulator by design, with its own roof over the bay and its own power, so an open parking area, a forecourt or a lawn is all it needs.

Can you invoice against our purchase order?

Yes. Send the PO number with your acceptance and it appears on one itemised invoice, a single document for your finance team, with nothing billed afterwards.

Is it good for a team building afternoon?

Yes. Department against department on one board, closest to the pin knockouts and a first timer category, all run by James. See team building.

Is travel to Menlyn included?

Yes. Menlyn is 8 km from our Pretoria base, inside our 50 km service area, so travel is included.

Do you need power at the venue?

No venue power needed. The trailer carries four solar panels, a 5 kVA inverter and a battery bank: if there is a plug within 20 m we use it, and if not the bay runs on its own, so load shedding changes nothing.
