DriveHaus is a mobile golf simulator for hire: a full golf bay in a trailer, towed to your home or estate in Pretoria, Johannesburg and across Gauteng, open in about 30 minutes and run by James. Your bar, your kitchen, your music, and a full golf bay in the driveway, for the 40th, 50th or 60th birthday, or the anniversary, people talk about for years. We arrive before your guests, run it, and are gone before the last one.
The venue you already love, plus the golf.
- Before you book: a photo of the driveway or lawn and the route in, on WhatsApp. James checks 8 × 6 m of firm, level ground, a route in at least 3 m wide with 2.8 m of clearance, and 3.5 m of clear headroom where the trailer opens.
- On an estate: James sends the vehicle and trailer details to the estate office for the boom and the contractor permit.
- About 30 minutes before your first guest: the trailer arrives and opens, quietly.
- All evening: one to four players a round, five to ten minutes each, so 30 to 50 guests play over four hours.
- The games: longest drive and closest to the pin on the live board, and party games such as darts and cornhole. Beer pong is for adult parties only.
- By 22:00, the close of the operating window: the last round, the winners called, and the trailer packs up.

There are no fixed packages: the quote is built around your event. James writes every quote himself, itemised, and sends it today, usually within two hours. A 40% deposit locks the date; the balance is due 48 hours before. Quotes are valid 7 days, and there is no second invoice. Full terms on our legal page.
The questions this crowd asks.
Will it fit in my driveway?
We need 8 × 6 m of level ground and a route in at least 3 m wide with 2.8 m of clearance: check gates, booms, trees and cables. Tarmac or firm grass. Send a photo of the route in and James confirms before he quotes.
What about estate rules and the HOA?
Most estates allow it with notice. Check your HOA rules on contractor access and noise, and send James the estate’s requirements; he works through the gate and contractor paperwork with you before the day.
How late can it run?
Our operating window is 08:00 to 22:00, so an evening party is no problem. Tell us your timings and the quote covers the hours you want.
Will it bother the neighbours?
No PA, no music of our own, no generator. The loudest thing we make is the ball hitting the screen, and the lit bay is the only sign we are there.
How many guests can play at a party?
One to four players a round, five to ten minutes each, so 30 to 50 guests play in a four-hour booking, with time for drinks between rounds.
What can guests play at a golf simulator party?
Longest drive and closest to the pin on a live board every guest follows on their phone, team rounds on real courses such as Pebble Beach and St Andrews, and party games such as darts and cornhole. Beer pong is for adult parties only.
Can kids use a golf simulator?
Yes. Under-18s play with a parent or guardian present who accepts the waiver for them, and children under 12 are accompanied at all times. At a children’s party the games are closest to the pin, darts and cornhole, never beer pong. Under-18s are never shown on any public board.
What if the weather turns?
Light rain is fine: the bay is covered and play carries on. If severe weather cuts your event short, the time you lose is rescheduled or refunded pro rata, exactly as our weather policy sets out. The weather and cancellation policy.
